and Expenses Always Go Up.

  • Pays directly to you or someone you designate, unless otherwise required
  • Pays regardless of what other insurance pays
  • No physical exam required

  • Your whole family can be covered

Who Receives the Money?
The Cash is paid directly to you when you need it most
No deductibles, copays or coinsurance requirements
No restrictions on your choice of doctors or hospitals
No preauthorization for treatment
No limitations on how you spend it

What Are Examples of Direct Costs?
The direct Medical expenses should be covered by standard medical insurance, group health insurance, PPO's and HMO's such as: hospital, doctor, surgery, nurse, x-ray's, and many more direct expenses.

What Are Examples of Indirect Expenses?
Indirect expenses are things that a person usually never thinks about until after it is too late, the indirect or hidden costs. Things that a person will pay out of their own pocket such as: loss of income while you or your spouse are unable to work, transportation, hotels, telephone, special diets, family care, childcare, housekeeping, home nursing expenses, insurance deductibles and co-payments.

What Are the Costs of Cancer?
The National Institutes of health estimate overall costs for cancer in 2005 at $209.9 billion: $74.0 billion for direct medical cost (total of all health expenditures): $17.5 billion for indirect morbidity costs (cost of lost productivity due to illness); and $118.4 billion for indirect mortality cost (cost of lost productivity due to premature death).*

What Is Supplemental Cancer Insurance?
Supplemental insurance specifically for cancer will help you pay expenses such as deductibles and copayments, costs that most insurance plans require you to pay. It also helps cover you for daily living expenses and other indirect expenses. The benefits in the supplemental policy are converted into money and we pay the money directly to YOU. We do not pay the vendors, doctor or hospital. You can then use this extra money to pay for your indirect expenses.

Who Can Buy Cancer Insurance?
Cancer insurance is only available to people who haven’t been diagnosed with cancer. You may qualify if have had cancer and have gone at least seven years without needing any further treatment.

What Is Cancer?
Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells. Cancer is caused by both external factors (tobacco, chemicals, radiation, and infectious organisms) and internal factors (inherited mutations, hormones, immune conditions, and mutations that occur from metabolism). *

Can Cancer Be Prevented?
About one-third of cancer deaths that occur in the United States each year are due to poor eating habits. The introduction of healthful diet and exercise practices at any time from childhood to old age can promote good health and probably reduce cancer risk.1 Emphasize fruits, vegetables and grains, and limit the intake of high-fat foods such as red meats. Be physically active to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Also, quit smoking and you'll substantially decrease the risk of lung, laryngeal, esophageal, oral, pancreatic, bladder and cervical cancers. Screening can detect cancers of the breast, colon, rectum, cervix, prostate, oral cavity, and skin at early stages. For most of these cancers, early detection has been proven to reduce mortality. Finally, if all Americans participated in regular screening, the five-year survival rate for these cancers is about 86%. *

What benefits should I look for in a cancer insurance policy?
Look for an insurance policy that pays benefits regardless of other coverage you have. Premiums shouldn't increase and your cancer benefits shouldn't be reduced because of your age or medical condition. The policy should be guaranteed renewable for life.
